My baby is 17 months old already...on the way to being 2. He is just an amazing little person. Ever since the holiday party, he has been talking up a storm...and speaks so clearly!
His favorite words now are:
Thank you! (he doesn't need prompting...whenever he gets something, it's automatic!)
Bye!

He did the sweetest thing the other day. He was happily nursing, then stopped, pulled away, looked at me in the eye and said "Mommy." Very contently. It was just precious. Then he went back to eating.
He also just LOVES his toothbrush. He has two now that he loves to hold in each hand while running around the house.

16 Months Old and Christmas 2009
So the latest on Chase...he had a wonderful Christmas! He finally stopped walking all over his gifts and instead, learned to rip them open!
One of his favorite gifts was from his Grandma Hom; a homemade, baby-sized hat with little tufts on the ends of its four pointed tops. He put it on and danced around, wearing it proudly for the next 15 minutes or so. It was precious.
Chase just started saying "uh-oh" this week. It's so fun watching him learn and communicate with us. He likes saying please in sign language and can never get enough of saying "more" of whatever it is he wants more of. Milk, mom, a toy...

Chase's 2nd Christmas
Chase is getting ready for his 2nd Christmas! It is so hard to believe he has been in our lives for over a year already. He still is happy-go-lucky Chase, always smiling, walking around on a mission and now, starting to talk! Just this week, he started calling me "Mom-EE" and on ocassion "Mom-MY" (long "I" sound :)). It's so cute! He has had sign language down for awhile, saying and signing "more" with complete accuracy.
Chase really loves books. He doens't care whether or not the books have pictures, he just likes to hold them and be read to. He also is quite the mover. He walks around without pause, like he has somewhere to be. It's adorable. Chase has really taken to brushing his hair at the sight of any brush. Today, he had two brushes, one in each hand, both brushing his little head of hair. :)
Chase is a great sleeper again. We lay him down, he goes to sleep. He has also really taken to trying new foods. He just loves his brothers and is sure to wave hi and bye whenever coming together or going apart. I just love this little guy to pieces! Merry Christmas, little baby cake. :)

Just about 15 Months
Poor Chase had his second visit to the ER this week...this time for a high fever. He is all better now, but that was scary.
He was home with a fever last week with me. He was happy go lucky through it all, even helping me dustmop the floors!

14 months, 2 weeks
Chase is such a little helper! He was running around the entire house today with the Swiffer mop, looking cute as can be. He's starting to know he's cute...at such a little age!
He and I got to hang out together Friday last week and again today, since daycare was closed. We had a blast eating together, playing and just looking at one another.
It's so funny. He used to occasionally say "mama" but now, it is pretty much just "Mom." Wonder if we'll eventually go back to "mommy" or if he'll just skip that altogther!

14 Months Old today
My baby Chase is growing up way too fast. We walks for goodness sake! He can wave hi snd bye and talk...all too soon. I miss him immenselyand wish i could slow down the clock, just for a little while. What if he's my last baby? I hope not. Time will tell.

13 months Old
Chase was up having a party again last night...this time 2:30-4:30am! He was saying "Hi-eee" and waving, but there came a point where his cuteness wasn't enough and he got sent back to his crib.
He is walking all over the place now...he'll grab onto doorways for reassurance, though he doesn't need to. :)
I can't believe Chase has been with us a year already. He is such a wonderful addition to our family. We love him so much, as does everyone he meets.
